This tee celebrates the first 'Spring Classic' of the cycling season, 'La Classicissima di Primavera'. The parcours stretches from Milan to San Remo on the Cote D'Azur. At 298km it's the longest professional one-day race on the calendar. A war of attrition. The race is won by the rider who remains anonymous for the majority of the race - keeping their head out the wind, conserving energy, waiting. The course is primarily flat in nature, leading to it being known as the Sprinter's Classic. But it takes a decent sprinter to get over the two punchy climbs towards the end of the race - the Cipressa and the Poggio. These being the perfect places for a puncheur to make an attack. The finale on the picturesque coastline and the beautiful Via Roma is one to behold.
