This tee celebrates the iconic velodrome in Milan, the Vigorelli. Originally built in 1935 this track was the spiritual home of the Hour Record from its opening right through to 1967. It saw successful attempts from Fausto Coppi, Jacques Anquetil, Ercole Baldini and Roger Riviere amongst others and it hosted the UCI World Championships four times. It was nicknamed 'La Pista Magica' due to the amount of records broken there - it was quite simply the fastest track around during this era. It was also the training track for Eddy Merckx in 1972 before he smashed the hour records in Mexico City.
